WHO IS EXPATDIRECT?
Expatdirect is an internet business established to supply goods to British Expats living and working abroad. Alternatively, goods can purchased through us by UK residents who wish to send to friends and relatives anywhere in the world.
ARE MY CREDIT CARD DETAILS SAFE WHEN USING THIS SITE?
Yes. Our payment provider, Paypal uses SSL encryption which is the industry standard level of protection. At no time are your card details kept on our database.
WHY CANT I SEE THE PADLOCK OR HTTPS:// IN MY BROWSER ?
Once you navigate to the payment page the padlock and 'HTTPS' security indicators are visable.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR MY GOODS TO ARRIVE?
We will endeavour to process your order within 2 working days. Delivery times do vary depending on your location, but is usually within 5-6 working days. EEC countries are usually 3-5 working days from date of despatch

IS THERE A MINIMUM AMOUNT OF GOODS I CAN ORDER?
No, but our carrier will charge a minimum amount for delivery. It will work out that the larger your order, the cheaper it will be per kilogram to send
IS THERE A MAXIMUM WEIGHT I CAN ORDER?
No, but in some parts of the world we are limited to 30kg per package. Orders above this amount may have to be in more than one parcel.
ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS, IMPORT DUTIES OR TAXES I HAVE TO PAY?
In some countries certain restrictions apply with regards to the type of goods entering the country. If you have any enquiries regarding these restrictions, Expatdirect will be happy to assist. We would advise though that you check with the relevant authorities on what is permitted before ordering. Certain countries might also levy an import duty. This is uncommon, but once again we would advise that you check with customs if in any doubt. Ultimately any import duty or tax payable is the responsibility of the buyer and not Expatdirect.
DO I HAVE TO JOIN THE "MEMBERS CLUB" BEFORE I CAN SHOP?
No, you can shop anyway, as you please. The Members Club is a loyalty scheme for those of you that might want the extra benefits and discounts being part of the Members Club provides, on top of our already competitive rates.

CAN I REQUEST ITEMS NOT ON YOUR LIST?
Yes, just fax or email us of your request and we will reply within 48 hrs with its availability (see contact details)

WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT CAN I USE?
Payment can be made by credit card, debit card or cheque. If you desire, card details can be sent by fax or telephone. If you pay by cheque, it must be in Pounds Sterling. The goods will be despatched once the cheque has cleared.
I'M HAVING PROBLEMS ORDERING. WHAT'S WRONG?
Unfortunatley, address information can not contain any of the following characters: &, #, =. This can sometimes cause problems. Check that your address doesn't use any of these and try again. If you are still having problems then please email us and we'll endeavour to fix it as soon as possible.
